Our Projects
Project Soniashnyk (Project Sunflower) is a volunteer-run organization that hosts summer and winter recreational camps in Ukraine for children whose parents serve in the country’s Armed Forces or have fallen in the line of duty. In addition to camping, connecting to nature, team-building activities, and bonding with new friends over campfires, we provide essential trauma therapy and mental health support for children impacted by the war.
We also provide psychological support via group and individual counselling between camps and throughout the year. The camps and our support services are offered at no expense to the families and are made possible by the generous support of BCU Foundation and public donations.
We provide humanitarian support for Children of UAF Heroes in the form of:
-
Trauma therapy. Psychological treatment and support.
-
Accredited and experienced psychologists, grief counsellors, and childcare support.
-
Meditation and mindfulness activities; art therapy and music therapy.
-
Practical skills training like CPR and first aid.
-

-

-
Creating online community hubs for the parents of the children enlisted in our programs.
